The Best Cities For Shopping In The United States

4 min read

That the purpose of your trip is simply to go shopping is already fun assured. I remember one of my aunts always talking about going to San Diego shopping and in the end we never did. Now I have a list of malls that I have to go yes or yes, with little or a lot of budgets, but to spend it all!

New York

Being one of the great fashion capitals par excellence, New York is one of the favorite destinations of shopaholics. It offers two options, a more bohemian experience in the Soho neighborhood where there are independent shops and other well-known, but with hippie spirit; and the second option, much more high fashion walking Fifth Avenue department stores like Bergdorf Goodman and Saks Fifth Avenue, where why not? You can visit the eighth floor and know the shoe department that has its own zip code: 100022. The discounts and payment plans they offer there seem to be very seductive because that floor is always on the top! For vintage lovers, you’ll find treasures in the East Village. If you have some time left, check out these itineraries to get to know New York.

Houston

If there is a city that can beat New York in a matter of shopping, it is Houston. With more than 54 shopping centers, this city will not let you rest because one of those 54 malls turns out to be the largest in Texas because it has more 223,000 square meters and 350 stores. I’m talking about The Galleria. I recommend renting a car to be able to travel all, the truth is super cheap and you can load all your new acquisitions without problems.

Bloomington, Minnesota

When I mention the biggest mall in Texas I think maybe I should mention the biggest mall in the whole United States, and yes, it’s in Minnesota. With more than 500 stores and 40 million visitors a year, Mall of America should be a city by itself. This mall should have everything you are looking for, no doubt. Take a getaway to something more natural, the Landscaped Arboretum of the city you will love, is an amazing botanical garden.

California

Okay, California is a state but could we call it a mall at once? The tour of San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Las Vegas is a good idea to enjoy four cities full of life and good weather, as well as making the best shopping of your life. When you look for unique garments with special designs and vintage go to the street of Haight-Ashbury in San Francisco. In Los Angeles, you can choose between The Grove, Beverly Center, Hollywood & Highland and if you have more budget do not forget to visit Rodeo Drive and Robertson Boulevard. To buy gifts and souvenirs, there is no Bonanza in Las Vegas and for a day of outdoor shopping, Fashion Valley in San Diego is your best choice. The best time to visit is in summer, check these activities for when you finish with your purchases.

San Antonio, Texas

What I remember most about this city, besides confusing me a little with the dollars (because it was my first trip without parents and I was 14 years old), was to visit Fiesta Texas. An amazing amusement park with lots of roller coasters and hilarious games. So when you go to San Antonio, before you spend your energy in shops, go and get free in one of their games. Then I recommend you go to one of the 41 malls in the city, such as North Star Mall, Rivercenter Mall or The Shops at La Cantera, an outdoor mall with interesting architecture.

Orlando

As a special recommendation is Orlando, for those who love designer clothing and accessories but have an outlet portfolio, (there are already two), there is the great Orlando Premium Outlets or the Orlando Vineland Premium Outlets. They sound the same but they are different. They belong to Simon Malls, the largest chain of malls in the United States, and by the way, are also responsible for the great The Galleria in Houston.
