When people move, it can be very stressful and busy, so it is easy to forget to pack everything that you need. If you want to make sure that your move is as easy as possible, here are a few essential items that you will need during the first few days and nights.

A first aid kit

Moving can easily result in an accident, and you never know when you will need a plaster, bandages and antiseptic wipes.

Batteries

There will be at least a few things in your new house that won’t be rechargeable, so some spare batteries could be useful.

Keys

Sure, it may seem obvious, but make sure that you bring both your old keys and your new keys!

Chargers

Bring chargers for all of the devices you use regularly, including your phone, your tablet and your laptop.

Spare clothing

Pack a few spare outfits, along with underwear, socks and PJs.

Bed sheets and a pillow

You want to make sure that the first night in your home is comfortable!

Cleaning products

Dish cloths, kitchen towels and surface spray can all be useful.

Toiletries

You will need shampoo, conditioner, body wash, deodorant, a toothbrush and toothpaste.

A shower curtain

Many people forget to pack their shower curtain, which can result in a very soggy bathroom floor.

Other bathroom supplies

You will need toilet roll, hand towels and tissues.

Kitchen supplies

Bring some plates, cups, glasses and cutlery so you can eat a meal when you arrive at your new house.

A tool kit

A tool box is very useful, especially if you are moving things around or setting up furniture. Just make sure that your toolbox contains all of the essential items, including a hammer and a screwdriver.

Your cards and ID

You will definitely need your bank cards and identification, and forgetting any of these things can really slow down the move.
