There are several very real and alarming statistics when it comes to the important topic of Workplace Safety. In just the two years between 2023 and 2024, 1.7 million workers reported an illness they believed was caused or made worse by their work, 604,000 workers reported a non-fatal injury at work and tragically 138 workers were fatally injured and lost their lives in work-related accidents! Incredibly these individual work-place accidents add up to approximately 33.7 million working days that were lost due to work-related illness and workplace injuries. Helping businesses everywhere to create a safer workplace bespoke to their environment is the important task of Workplace Safety experts. The Health and Safety at Work Act that was brought into force in 1974 is the primary legislation that outlines the responsibilities of employers, employees, and others in the workplace. This extensive legal document must be adhered to by everyone in a work situation and is designed to protect all employers and employees.
One of the simplest ways to improve safety for every worker, both inside and out of any premises, is to help regulate the safe movement, flow and access of pedestrians and workplace vehicles in and around factories, warehouses and car parks. Be sure to avoid the danger of items toppling onto staff & walkways, while safely segregating staff from fork truck impact. Workplace Safety is all about helping businesses protect their workforce, the buildings they work in and the equipment they use.
