Measuring Up for Bespoke Fitted Wardrobes

Getting the right measurements for your designer before you speak to them is probably the most important part of the process. Measure Width, Height, and Depth

Measure the width, height and depth of your room for your fitted wardrobes. Measuring for your storage solutions is the most important part of ordering your wardrobes, as your new cupboard space will be based on your figures.

Account for Skirting Boards and Cornices

The depth will also need to take into account the depth of the skirting boards around the perimeter of the room. Also allow for the height of any cornices or ceiling roses as these will reduce the overall height of the room.

Check Level and Plumb

Take a Spirit Level and Measure. A sloping floor or out of plumb wall needs to be flagged up before any orders are placed, as these will need to be scribed to fit around any obstacles.

Map Out Obstacles

For outlets, record the height off the floor and distance from nearest wall for switched outlets, and draw outline on sketch. This will allow designers to include in design around any future obstacles to being blocked by cupboards.
